Mark Carter's beast of a freeride board! The Arbor Clovis is one of the most powerful, yet fun boards out there. And a favorite of both the male and female testers from the shop that rode it. Super quick edge to edge for riding tight trees. Some updates in shaping the past few years, more volume in the nose, with increased width overall and a shorter tail equal extra float when the snow gets good. Rips on the hardpack and "packed powder" the extra width allows you to get low on the carves. Carbon a-frames have been added from binding zone to contacts to increase edge hold and snap on the men's version. The women's model moves the bamboo stringers further out by the edges to create a similar effect without losing the playful nature for a lighter rider. New environmental construction methods including recycled steel edges, zero waste base tech, fsc certified sustainable core and recycled sidewalls, Entropy Bio-resins, and bio bean based plastic topsheet. Flex Rating (1 = soft, 10 = most responsive) 6 Suggested Use Big Mountain / Powder Camber / Rocker Style The Camber System design offers a poppy ride with crisp, fully engaged performance. Shape Directional 1cm Taper: A shaping technique that narrows the profile of the snowboard towards the rear contact points. Tapered snowboards will have a wider nose and narrower tail, allowing the tail of the board to sink in deeper snow creating natural float and cleaner tracking. Core Material FSC Certified Double Barrel Core: Poplar to Paulownia blend with bamboo stringers running down the center of the board for added longitudinal pop and unmatched board control. American Black Walnut Powerply: A specialized and highly intricate die cutting process allows us to combine the natural grain of multiple species of wood into singular, sophisticated Powerply topsheet. Construction Mixed Glassing: A triax over biax lay-up that's best for versatility: pow, backcountry, groomers, jumps, and more. Entropy Bio Resin: Starting with Arbor's 2020 line they are proud to announce that all Powerplys and R.A.P. Topless Tech veneers will be made with Entropy Bio-Resin, a replacement for traditional petroleum based resin that doesn't affect performance or usability. The ingredients that go into Entropy Bio-Resin are sourced as co-products or waste products of other industrial processes and are manufactured employing green chemistry techniques that reduce the carbon footprint of the material by up to 40% (when compared to its petroleum based equivalent). 360-Degree Rails: A 360-degree, fully wrapped sidewall that eliminates the need for tip fill, while effectively tying the whole snowboard together. A technology that delivers incredibly tight tolerances for improved board life and durability Bio-Plastic Topsheet: One of the materials Arbor uses in their quest to eliminate harmful petroleum-based plastics from their production cycle. Made from CastorBean Oil, this eco-topsheet is extremely durable and water repellent. AWD Carbon A-Frame: A carbon fiber lay-up insert running from the contact points to the inserts creates structural a-frames for improved torsional performance in the steeps and at speed. Edges Recycled Steel Edge Fatory Tuned: Arbor detunes the tip and tail contact points on all snowboards for a catch-free ride before they leave the factory. Base Sintered Plus Base: A higher molecular weight, sintered base that provides added durability and speed. Wend Natural Wax: All Arbor snowboards hit the shop floor ready to ride with Wend Natural Wax. Binding Mounting System 2x4 14 Pack Inserts
